Fin d' arabesque and Le Classe de danse are the front and back images of the charming set of Note Cards. After only a year of training at the Ecole des Beau-Arts, Degas spent 3 years travelling in Italy which perhaps formed his artistic taste. On his return to Paris he met the artist Manet after which he started portraying Parisian subjects. More than his Impressionist friends he concentrated on the human figure such as the dancers in these works. Only seldom did he paint landscapes. These paintings are in Musee d'Orsay, Paris, France. $9.95 per set
